This year, AFM Records celebrates 20 years Metaladdiction - born in 1996, until now we released 600 albums, many of these hailed as classics in the metal scene.
We achieved first international success in 1998 with the release of young power metal band Edguy’s “Vain Glory Opera” album, which brought both band and label on the map.
This success opened new doors, especially regarding worldwide distribution. So from here, we became bigger and bigger each year.

With the signing of acclaimed artists such as U.D.O., Destruction, Doro and Masterplan, AFM rose to prominence in the worldwide metal scene.
Today the label is home of Leaves’ Eyes, Danzig, Evergrey – and it’s still working with U.D.O., Masterplan and many other artists that have joined the AFM roster 10 or more years ago.
Even though maintaining a certain consistency, the label has its eyes set on the future – with all developments this will bring. Cheers to another 20 years!
